Our story began in 1996, when Peter and Lorraine came back from New York and opened a small beach bar on Lourdas Beach. They called it Lorraine’s Beach Bar, and from the very beginning it was all about good food, relaxed vibes, and making people feel at home.

As more and more guests found their way to us, the next step felt natural. In 1999, the restaurant opened its doors and quickly became a place people loved to return to—whether for a long lunch, a sunset dinner, or a special celebration.

In 2004, the family grew again with Lorraine’s Apartments in Simotata Village—five cozy, independent cottages perfect for families and groups who wanted space, comfort, and a peaceful stay close to the beach.

Years later, in 2022, Thea Suites were built right next to the restaurant, allowing guests to stay just steps from the sea. In 2025, the beach bar reopened, bringing back the easygoing beachfront atmosphere we started with. Then in 2026, Lorraine’s Boutique Suites were created, bringing everything together—the restaurant, beach bar, and suites—into one welcoming seaside home.

Today, Lorraine’s is still a family-run place, built on love, hard work, and genuine hospitality. We’re happy to welcome you, share our little corner of Kefalonia with you, and hopefully become part of your holiday memories.
